Sud Up Recordings Podcast Episode 005 - Agent Ried

For our 5th instalment, we welcome Neil MacGregor aka Agent Ried who delivers a cracking 19 track techno mix, recorded in his South London hideout. Neil has been part of the Sud Up family since day one, providing two remixes for the Doin Time EP which are firm favourites at Sud Up HQ. His own imprint Fortified Recordings which he runs with Simon Automatic goes from strength to strength, with releases from a wealth of great artists. A very busy man indeed, but he's even found time to deliver another remix to us recently that will be featuring on an EP later in the year.

We approached Neil for a mix to feature on the podcast last year, and he came back to us with something that is true to his (& our) techno roots. This mix ups the BPMs somewhat but is packed full of infectious grooves. We know that you've been waiting a while for a new podcast, and we've been sitting on this for a while, but finally, here it is, for your listening pleasure, we have no doubt that it's been worth the wait...

01 - D-Nox & Beckers - Cala A Boca (Alan Fitzpatrick Remix) [Sprout]
02 - Slam – Variance [Paragraph]
03 - Ellen Allien - Go (Marcel Dettmann mix) [Bpitch Control
04 - Pirupa And Pigi - Rough N Raw (Alan Fitzpatrick Remix) [Size Records]
05 - Function – Disaffected [Sandwell District]
06 - Kalon - Man Is The Superior Animal (Regis Original 12) [Sandwell District]
07 – S2 – Nasty [Underground Resistance]
08 – Sebbo - Watamu Beach (Original Mix) [Desolat]
09 - Cari Lekebusch & Alexi Delano – Hold Watcha Got [Jericho]
10 - Baggy Bukaddor & Tim Fishbeck – Campus [MBF]
11 - Alan Fitzpatrick – Amsterdam [8 Sided Dice]
12 - Sebrok - The X [Sci+Tek Digital Audio]
13 - Gregor Tresher - Black Rain (Gregor Tresher Mix) [Great Stuff Recordings]
14 - ??? - ??? - ???
15 - Mark Verbos - Frozen In Time (Tim Xavier Remix) [LTD-400]

Sud Up Recordings Podcast 004 - Tom Lown

So, here we are, we have reached the dizzy heights of episode 004 of the Sud Up Podcast, delivered this time by Mr Tom Lown, the man behind The 6am EP, the most well received EP on the Sud Up imprint so far. Based out of Catford in South London, Tom has been on the circuit for a few years now, having previously held a residency in New York as well as making appearances for Peg in London & Cornwall, yet ironically, he only purchased a set of decks this year!

As well as his debut EP for us, Tom has released a remix on the US label Savant Guard and has big things in the pipeline for 2010, with remixes and releases forthcoming on Lost My Dog, Warmth Records and of course, another release on Sud Up Recordings.

He has definitely done us proud with this mix, so turn the lights down, get the kettle on & turn the stereo up loud...

Tracklist:

1.SOUTHERN SOUL – GLIMPSE & MARTIN EYERER (BUZZIN FLY)
2.MOUNTAIN 008.1 – THE MOUNTAIN PEOPLE (MOUNTAIN PEOPLE MUSIC)

4.SLEEPER (FRANC SPANGLER REMIX) – JIMPSTER (FREERANGE)

Podcast 003 comes courtesy of Dlay, one half of the team behind Sud Up Recordings. Having honed his skills over the years playing techno on the free party circuit, Dom Ahtuam switched to the housier side of things 6 years ago and has never looked back, playing out all over the place alongside Justin Berman as Sketchy Beats, releasing as Dlay, releasing as Untying the Knots (with Ketsa), and with forthcoming relases alongside Jane Fitz as Invisible Menders & his Syndrome guise, he keeps himself busy, with an unbelievable amount of tracks coming out of his West London studio. Dlay's tracks have had high praise from the likes of Dan Curtin & Laurent Garnier, and this mix is true to that slightly techno-ey sound...
